Acclaimed Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran recently fueled speculation about his next film by sharing a clean-shaven picture on social media.
The buzz was finally put to rest when his mother and veteran actor Mallika Sukumaran confirmed that he is set to collaborate with celebrated director SS Rajamouli.
In reply to a comment on Sukumaran's post, she clarified that the photo wasn't AI-generated and said, "The next film is a Rajamouli project."

Sukumaran's post and wife's playful reminder
Sukumaran's Instagram post, showcasing his new look, came with a caption that added to the speculation surrounding his next project.
He wrote, "Finish and hand over film and all marketing assets on your directorial. Get into appearance for your next as an actor. Realise you have long monologs in a language that's not native to you and start becoming nervous."
His wife, Supriya Menon, also chimed in with a funny reminder of his family commitments.

Sukumaran's upcoming film 'L2: Empuraan' set for release
Earlier, there were reports of Sukumaran joining Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu in SSMB29, to which Sukumaran had responded that there was nothing confirmed yet.
Now, things are moving ahead.
Apart from this, Sukumaran is also gearing up for the release of his upcoming action flick L2: Empuraan.
The movie, which is slated for release on March 27, stars Mohanlal in the lead role as Ab'raam Khureshi.
