Prithviraj Sukumaran finally confirms role in SS Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu's 'SSMB29'

Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has finally confirmed his participation in the film SSMB29 (tentative title), directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Mahesh Babu.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sukumaran first playfully dismissed rumors about his involvement by saying his recent meeting with Babu in Odisha was just a sightseeing trip.
However, he later confirmed his role, saying, "It's been more than a year that I have been part of the project."

When asked about his experience on the set of SSMB29, Sukumaran clarified, "So I mean, now since the video or some photograph and all have been leaked, I can't really say that I went there for sightseeing."
"So hopefully very soon we will be able to talk about the film. It's been more than a year that I have been part of the project; we've slowly been working toward it."

The project will release in two parts
SSMB29, a globe-trotting adventure film, also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas as the co-lead.
The team recently wrapped up an Odisha schedule and a few glimpses from the set quickly went viral on social media.
The film is planned as a two-part franchise, with the first releasing in 2027 and the second in 2029.
The film's tentative title has been much buzzed about, but an official announcement is awaited.

Produced by veteran filmmaker KL Narayana, SSMB29 is reportedly made on a staggering ₹1,000 crore budget.
The film's script has been written by Rajamouli's father, writer Vijayendra Prasad.
Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani is composing the music for this grand-scale project.
Rajamouli last directed RRR in 2022.
