Rani's 'Hichki' to be screened for President Ram Nath Kovind
Rani Mukerji's 'Hichki' has emerged a box office success on the back of the positive word of mouth. Now, the film has added another feather to its cap as it will be screened for President Ram Nath Kovind. The makers, Yash Raj Films, will organize the special screening at the Rashtrapati Bhavan tomorrow.
'Hichki' has resonated with the audience big time
"The acclaim of 'Hichki' has found a taker in none other than the President of India who will be watching it on Saturday. 'Hichki' has a strong social message, which appeals to audiences across all age groups," says a media report.
Producer Maneesh Sharma cannot not contain his excitement
Overwhelmed with the development, producer Maneesh Sharma said, "It is an incredible feeling to receive such love from audiences for 'Hichki'. It is a matter of great pride for any filmmaker to have his/her film screened for the President of India." "I'm extremely humbled that it is spreading such important social messages across the country," he added.
'Hichki' had an exceptional run in week 1
The film marks Rani's return to movies
Rani was last seen in the 2014 hit 'Mardaani', after which the 40-year-old actress took a sabbatical of two years as she got married to Yash Raj Films head honcho Aditya Chopra and gave birth to their first child Adira. Therefore, 'Hichki' is being termed as her comeback film of sorts. It has been directed by Siddharth P Malhotra.
