    In July, it was reported that Konkona Sen Sharma and Laapataa Ladies star Pratibha Ranta are set to headline a new Netflix film produced by Karan Johar.

    The yet-to-be-titled project will be directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, known for Doctor G (2022).

    Now, a report by Mid-Day has revealed that the production is reportedly moving at a swift pace with plans to commence shooting in Poland this November.

    Kashyap's second directorial venture is a relationship drama

    For her second directorial venture, Kashyap has reportedly picked a relationship drama, written by Sima Agarwal and Yash Keshwani.

    An insider shared with Mid-Day that the final cast is yet to be confirmed, and pre-production will soon kick off.

    The source added, "The production team, along with Anubhuti, will head out for the recce next week."

    Location significance

    Poland's landscapes to serve as backdrop for the film

    The upcoming film will be shot extensively in Poland over a period of 30 days.

    The production team aims to capture the country's stunning landscapes, which have been relatively unexplored in Hindi cinema.

    These natural settings will provide a contrasting backdrop to the unfolding drama and will be important to the story.

    "Most of the outdoor shoot will happen in this leg," added the source.

    The upcoming film marks Sen Sharma's second collaboration with Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment, following their successful venture in Ajeeb Daastaans (2021).

    The Netflix original anthology film featured four short films directed by Shashank Khaitan, Raj Mehta, Neeraj Ghaywan, and Kayoze Irani.

    It was lauded for its unique storytelling and performances.
