Prabhas fans have been flooding the comments section of Warsi's Instagram posts with ugly slurs and derogatory remarks. Some are calling him a "joker," while others are pointing out that the box office collection of Nag Ashwin-directed Kalki 2898 AD, which grossed over ₹1,000cr worldwide, is much higher than all of Warsi's films combined. A few fans even resorted to hurling abuses at the actor, with one saying, "Aukaat kya hai teri."

The online trolling of Warsi sparked a discussion on Reddit. One user commented, "In a country where actors, cricketers, and politicians are worshipped, don't be surprised..." Another added, "This was bound to happen. That's a lot of comments though." A third user chimed in, saying, "All these so-called fans are jobless duffers with no life of their own." One Reddit user pointed out that if Warsi had made similar comments about SRK or Salman, the reaction would've been the same.

I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there." "Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata (What have you made of it? Why do they do such things I never understand)."
