The creators of the much-anticipated film, Kalki 2898 AD, have unveiled a new teaser featuring lead actor Prabhas as Bhairava and his AI-powered car, Bujji. The teaser offers a glimpse into a post-apocalyptic world where Bhairava shares an amusing rapport with his sarcastic sidekick Bujji. The one-minute teaser kicks off with Bujji briefing Bhairava about their upcoming mission's challenges, sparking an entertaining dialogue between the two.
Action-packed teaser highlights Prabhas-Bujji's dynamic
The teaser showcases action-filled visuals of Bhairava and Bujji navigating through a battlefield. The interaction between Prabhas and Bujji is reminiscent of Tony Stark and JARVIS from Iron Man, marked by witty exchanges and sarcastic comebacks. In one scene, Prabhas tells Bujji to "just be positive," to which Bujji humorously responds, "No, let's go back."
Bujji's introduction and Prabhas's gratitude to director
The character of Bujji, voiced by Keerthy Suresh, was recently introduced at an event in Hyderabad by director Nag Ashwin. Bujji is a robot with a unique personality that plays a pivotal role in the movie's plot. At the same event, Prabhas expressed his gratitude to Ashwin for making the film and acknowledged his excitement to work with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.
Anand Mahindra's assistance in creating Bujji's body
In 2022, Ashwin sought assistance from Mahindra Group Chairperson Anand Mahindra to construct Bujji's body - a custom-made vehicle. He posted on X (formerly Twitter), "Dear @anandmahindra sir...we are making an Indian sci-fi film with Mr.Bachan, Prabhas and Deepika called #ProjectK A few vehicles we are building for this world are unique & beyond the tech of today...if this film does wat it is supposed to, it will be the pride of our nation." Mahindra responded positively to Ashwin's request.
