While some grieved India's loss, others were happy about pictures
The fans naturally had mixed reactions to the Virushka pictures. While some users continued to lament Team India's crushing exit from the World Cup, others felt happy about the duo stepping out in the city, together. One user felt that the "Captain's smile is coming back in bits." Interestingly, Anushka has been accompanying her husband throughout the one-and-a-half month long campaign in the UK.
Bollywood connection: Anushka was last seen in 'Zero'
On the work front, Anushka was last seen in Aanand Rai's Zero, also starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. In the film, she portrayed the role of Aafia, a brilliant scientist suffering from cerebral palsy, who falls in love with a small-town dwarf man. However, it turned out to be a debacle, receiving poor critic reviews and an underwhelming box office collection.
A thrilling cop-drama might be on cards for Anushka
Although Anushka is currently taking a break from work, rumor has it that the diva might soon be seen in a thrilling cop drama. Talking of her future plans, she said, "I think I have reached that position and security as an actor in my career, where I don't need to do things or sign films just because I have to fill up time."
Kohli likely to be rested for upcoming series against Windies
Separately, Team India is set to play Windies in an upcoming series, comprising three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests. But skipper Kohli is expected to be rested for the same. Meanwhile, England and New Zealand will fight for the World Cup today at Lord's.
