
'Dexter: Resurrection' brings back fan favorites
What's the story
Emmy winners John Lithgow and Jimmy Smits are returning to reprise their roles in the upcoming Showtime original series, Dexter: Resurrection, Deadline reported.
While Lithgow is returning as Arthur Miller, the Trinity Killer, Smits will return as Miguel Prado.
The series has been in production in New York since January.

Lithgow and Smits's previous accolades for their roles
Lithgow's performance as the Trinity Killer netted him an Emmy Award, a Critics's Choice Award, a SAG Award, and a Golden Globe nomination.
Smits earned an Emmy nomination for his Season 3 performance as Prado, the ADA-turned-lawbreaker hellbent on revenge.
This will mark Smits's return to the franchise, although a young Prado did appear in the spin-off Original Sin, portrayed by Nick Santucci.

Lithgow, a two-time Tony, six-time Emmy, two-time Golden Globe, three-time SAG Award, and two-time Oscar-nominated actor, was recently seen in Edward Berger-directed film Conclave and animated film Spellbound. He will be seen as Albus Dumbledore in HBO's Harry Potter series.
Smits, an Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor, was recently seen in the CBS drama East New York and Jon M. Chu's critically acclaimed feature film In the Heights.

'Dexter: Resurrection' features returning and new stars
Along with Michael C Hall (Dexter), the cast of Dexter: Resurrection also features returning stars David Zayas (Detective Angel Batista), Jack Alcott (Dexter's son Harrison Morgan), and James Remar (Dexter's father Harry Morgan).
Among the new cast members are Uma Thurman (Charley), Peter Dinklage (Leon Prater), Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Blessing Kamara), Kadia Saraf (Detective Claudette Wallace), Dominic Fumusa (Detective Melvin Oliva), and Emilia Suarez (Elsa Rivera).
