Seoul Police accelerate investigation into ADOR CEO's alleged misconduct
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has reportedly pledged to expedite the investigation into allegations against Min Hee-jin, CEO of music label ADOR. The decision was announced by Commissioner Cho Ji-ho during a press briefing on Tuesday. The move comes after HYBE filed a complaint against Min with the Yongsan Police Station on April 25. Min is accused of breaching trust following an internal audit at ADOR.
Lack of concrete proof doesn't dismiss allegations against Min: Cho
Cho emphasized the importance of a comprehensive investigation, despite the lack of definitive evidence at this stage. He stated that the absence of concrete proof does not imply that the allegations against Min are baseless. The police are currently examining records relevant to the case, with Cho underscoring, "Given the high level of public interest, we will conduct a thorough investigation at a faster pace than usual."
Alleged evidence points to a management takeover scheme
HYBE claims to possess solid proof of a scheme orchestrated by Min to seize management control. The evidence allegedly includes digital assets detailing plans to acquire management rights and communication with external investors. This purported proof lends credibility to HYBE's claims against Min and Vice President Shin Dong-hoon. In a significant development, Min confessed to creating documents with the intent to weaken HYBE's standing, further bolstering the allegations.
Meanwhile, recently SME's former employee praised Min as a 'trendsetter'
Meanwhile, former SM Entertainment employee David C, recently voiced support for Min amid her ongoing conflict with HYBE. Having worked with SME for over four years in various high-ranking roles, David has had professional interactions with Min, who was also an SME employee before. Despite describing her as a "challenging person to collaborate with," he praised her as a "trendsetter" and credited her with inspiring him to establish his own music-related startup.
