#GoodbyeTyrion: Peter Dinklage wraps up 'Game of Thrones' shooting
'Game of Thrones' is finishing work for its final season which will be coming sometime in 2019. The end of the popular fantasy series marks a milestone moment in the career of the actors who survived the story arc over seven seasons. Peter Dinklage, who plays fan favorite character, Tyrion Lannister recently wrapped up shooting and spoke about his final day on the set.
A wrap for Peter Dinklage
Dinklage spoke in an interview with Vulture about the anti-climatic nature of the final day of his shoot. This is unsurprising because most movies and television shows do not shoot sequences in order. However, Dinklage was touched by the bittersweet nature of the final day when a lot of his beloved people showed up on set, despite no longer being part of the show.
The fate of Tyrion Lannister
The final season will undoubtedly have many deaths, but what does it mean for Tyrion's character? Dinklage said that he is satisfied with his character's conclusion and even 'death can be a great way out'. Fans need not fret at this, as Dinklage only suggested Tyrion "could" die. Since HBO is filming multiple endings for GoT, even Dinklage might not know Tyrion's fate.
Valar Morghulis, all men must die
While I would hate for Tyrion to die, 'Game Of Thrones' has amassed popularity simply because of their realistic portrayal of how anyone can die in ruthless political games. This writer hopes the show delivers a fantastic finale, even at the cost of Tyrion's life.
