The much-anticipated sequel series to the beloved TV show Dexter, Dexter: Resurrection, has officially added Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Peter Dinklage to its cast.
Best known for his roles in Game of Thrones and Avengers: Infinity War, Dinklage will play the series' villain.
The original Dexter series aired from 2006-2013 on Showtime, winning numerous awards and critical acclaim over its eight-season run.

Dinklage will be playing a billionaire named Leon Prater, a noble man with a dark side.
The character is a generous philanthropist to the world but behind his polished exterior lies dark intrigue.

This isn't the first time Dexter has faced an affluent enemy; Season 5 had him battling Jordan Chase, a rich self-help coach with a sinister secret.
Cast expansion
Uma Thurman joins 'Dexter: Resurrection' alongside Dinklage
Along with Dinklage, Uma Thurman has also been confirmed for Dexter: Resurrection. She will play a bodyguard/fixer for Prater.
Recent set photos showed Thurman filming scenes in New York City, indicating that most of the series will be set there.
Returning cast members include David Zayas, Jack Alcott, and James Remar reprising their roles of Angel Batista, Harrison Morgan, and Harry Morgan respectively.

'Dexter: Resurrection' production team and premiere date
The series is executive produced by Clyde Phillips, who returns as showrunner. Other producers are Michael C Hall, Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns.
Marcos Siega is the producing director while Monica Raymund will direct four episodes with Siega directing six.
The series is a joint venture of Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios, distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
