'Ant-Man 3' advance booking report: Marvel film overtakes 'Shehzada'
With Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Marvel Studios will begin its Phase V journey following a disappointing Phase IV. The advance booking of the film starring Paul Rudd opened Sunday across the country and has taken a significant lead in the booking, defeating Kartik Aaryan's Shehzada. As the release date for both movies approaches, the competition is already heating up at the box office.
Why does this story matter?
Despite a disappointing fourth phase, in which Marvel was heavily trolled for its bad story execution and poor VFX, fans were waiting for a long time to see this big-ticket movie in theaters, due to the exhilarating trailer. The epic sci-fi has already opened to positive international reviews, and Indian audiences will finally witness on Friday how MCU will unfold in its new phase!
Rudd's 'Ant-Man' secured over 57K tickets on Day 1
The highly-anticipated movie, Ant-Man 3 sold a staggering 57,277 tickets on its first day, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Meanwhile, Shehzada has sold just over 7,000 tickets (update as of Wednesday). In spite of the stark contrast between the two entertainers, both are expected to draw in audiences on Friday. Ant-Man 3 will premiere in theaters in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
Marvel will be banking on the shoulders of 'Ant-Man 3'
The previous installments of Ant-Man were only seen as fillers in the Marvel series, but this time it will be different, as the Studio will rely on an Ant-Man film. In this installment, Scott Lang (Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) will return to continue their adventurous journey as Ant-Man and the Wasp and explore Quantum Realm, while interacting with strange new creatures.
A look at Marvel's Phase V release schedule
