Parul Chauhan exits 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'. Here's why
Fans of the popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai got a shocker after one of its key actresses walked out of it. Parul Chauhan who played the role of lead character, Naira's mother-in-law, Swarna, announced her exit recently. The actress, who was associated with the show for over two years now, said she's quitting it since the show is taking a leap.
'Wasn't ready to play the role of a grandmother'
Talking about her exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Parul stated that she isn't ready to play the role of a grandmother onscreen, as she can't do justice to it. "I wasn't ready to play the role of a grandmother's at such an early stage of my career. I spoke to Rajan sir (producer) and thankfully he understood my concerns," she added.
Working on the body, taking care of myself: Parul
Notably, post her exit from the Star Plus show, the 31-year-old hasn't signed any new project. She is currently on a break, and is in no hurry to return to work. "Doing a daily soap becomes very hectic. You end up getting no time for yourself. Hence, I am also working on the body and taking care of myself," Parul mentioned.
Parul got married to beau Chirag in December 2018
For the uninitiated, Parul rose to fame with her role as Ragini in Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai. While she has worked in several shows, the actress was most loved for her performance in YRKKH. However, she was missing from the show since January 2019. We now know why. On the personal front, Parul married her long-time boyfriend Chirag Thakkar in a traditional ceremony last December.
