And now Parineeti Chopra got candid about her Mimi didi's wedding and revealed that she got an expensive gift from Nick for joota chhupai ceremony.
Priyanka-Nick's wedding was a blend of Indo-Western culture
When Nick decided to marry our desi girl Priyanka, he was well prepared to accept the Indian culture wholeheartedly. In fact, Priyanka-Nick gave importance to their respective customs, and their wedding also witnessed a beautiful amalgamation of Indo-Western culture. After their Christian wedding, Priyanka-Nick took the saat-pheras as per Hindu traditions. Unsurprisingly, their Hindu wedding also had joota chhupai ceremony wherein Nick impressed everyone.
Parineeti had special plans for 'joota chhupai'
Interestingly, Parineeti was all set for the joota chhupai ceremony and was planning to extort thousands of dollars from her firangi jiju. In fact, during one of her interviews, Parineeti revealed that she was planning to demand $5 million for the ceremony. Although Nick agreed to pay $10 to Parineeti back then, he had planned a big surprise for the bridesmaids.
Nick's gift to Priyanka's bridesmaids is every girl's dream
During her interview on Neha Dhupia's Vogue BFF, Parineeti revealed that Nick bowled the bridesmaids with his generosity. The actress recalled that when it was the time for joota chhupai ceremony, the bridesmaids shouted, "Joote le lo, paise de do". However, much to their surprise, Nick signaled his groomsmen to bring in a tray of sparkling diamond rings, one for each bridesmaid. Feeling jealous?
Parineeti finds Nick a perfect soulmate for Priyanka
To recall, Parineeti has been all praises for Nick as a perfect soulmate for Priyanka. "It's kind of reassuring that she has found the man who is right for her. He's funny, calm, normal, simple and he loves her. She adores him and they're very much in love. I don't think there could have been a better person for her," Parineeti was quoted saying.
Parineeti to have a busy 2019 with three releases
On the work front, Parineeti is busy promoting her upcoming movie Kesari with Akshay Kumar. Besides, she also has two big releases in her kitty for 2019, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar with Arjun Kapoor and Jabariya Jodi with Sidharth Malhotra. Quite a busy year!
