'The Girl...' based on a 2016 eponymous Hollywood movie
Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta (Te3n, Bard of Blood), The Girl On The Train is a remake of the 2016 eponymous Hollywood film, starring Emily Blunt in the lead role. The English film was inspired by Paula Hawkins's 2015 bestseller, by the same name. Coming to the Bollywood version, produced by Reliance Entertainment, the film also features Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari, and Avinash Tiwary.
A film that has stayed with me, Parineeti had said
Reportedly, the film will see Parineeti playing an alcoholic divorced woman, who gets engulfed in a missing person's investigation. After finishing shooting for the movie a few months back in London, Parineeti had said, "So, I leave London after seven weeks. Words fail me. Feelings overwhelm me. This is a film that has, for the first time stayed, with me after I've finished it."
Parineeti to also star in Saina Nehwal biopic
Apart from this movie, Parineeti has two other major films in the pipeline. She is set to star in Dibakar Banerjee's black-comedy movie Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, opposite Arjun Kapoor, and Amole Gupte's Saina, a film based on the life of badminton icon Saina Nehwal.
