'Didn't know the game': Parineeti admits being unprepared for Bollywood

Actor Parineeti Chopra, who debuted in Bollywood in 2011 with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, recently admitted she wasn't as prepared as today's newcomers.
Speaking to Mashable Middle East, she confessed to not fully knowing the industry's workings when she started.
"I don't think like an actor 24X7, I don't know the people, I don't know how films get cast... This whole game, I think I am learning now."

Chopra added that she's amazed by how prepared today's newcomers are.
She noted that they are more strategic and aware of who to reach out to, when to message, whose parties to show up to, and who to befriend.
"I see newcomers today are way more prepped. They know on another level kisko kab phone karna hai, kisko message karna hai, kiski party mein dikhna hai, kisse dosti karni hai," she said.

'I was the most pure, well-intentioned person...'
Reflecting on her career, Chopra admitted that her ignorance of the industry might have led to some of her failures.
"And that's why I had maybe I have had many failures also because of that because I didn't know how to play the game."
However, she stressed that she was always a "pure, well-intentioned person" who only concentrated on acting.
Chopra will next be seen in a Netflix thriller series, co-starring Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anup Soni, and Jennifer Winget.
