Anushka Sharma's 'Pari' to be remade in Tamil
Anushka Sharma starrer 'Pari' was touted to be a game-changer for the horror genre in Bollywood but did not quite live up to the expectations upon its release. However, the film seems to have impressed the Tamil cinema makers as they have decided to remake it. 'Pari' was bankrolled by Anushka's banner Clean Slate Productions.
Here's what a media report said
"Everyone has taken notice of Anushka's gutsy decision. 'Pari' will soon have a Tamil remake. Quality horror stories work in this market and the producers here have loved the film. The offer on the table is a big one too," the media report said.
'Pari' had hit the screens on March 2
Apart from Anushka, 'Pari' also features Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajat Kapoor and Ritabhari in pivotal roles. Helmed by debutante Prosit Roy, the film had released on Holi and earned Anushka several accolades for her performance. 'Pari' was Anushka's third production venture after 'NH 10' and 'Phillauri'.
