The much-anticipated trailer for the third season of Amazon Prime Video's acclaimed series, Panchayat, was unveiled on Wednesday. Set in the fictional village of Phulera, the series features Neena Gupta, Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy, and Faisal Malik in leading roles. The trailer confirms that Kumar's character "Sachiv ji" Abhishek Tripathi will continue his tenure in Phulera despite political unrest. We also see his resignation from the post getting canceled.

The upcoming season of Panchayat promises a mix of comedy and drama as politics takes center stage in Phulera. In the new season, Bhushan (Durgesh Kumar) seeks to overthrow Pradhan Manju Devi (Gupta) with the help of an unhappy local politician. The third season will also delve into the personal life of Tripathi as he balances his studies and a budding romance with Rinki, Pradhan-Pati's daughter. As the Panchayat elections approach, both Pradhan and Bhushan gangs engage in a fierce battle to uplift their public image. The official synopsis under the trailer reads, "Navigating the murky waters of Phulera politics, Abhishek does his best to maintain his objectivity." This suggests that Tripathi will be caught in the crossfire of local politics.

'Panchayat' series: Acclaimed portrayal of village life
Panchayat, which debuted in April 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown, has been widely praised for its depiction of village life through the eyes of an engineering graduate turned panchayat secretary. The second season was awarded the Best Web Series (OTT) at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), a newly introduced category that Panchayat 2 was the first to win. Season 3, directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Chandan Kumar, is set to premiere on May 28.
