Pakistani singer Meesha Shafi in a long Twitter post levelled sexual allegations charges against actor-singer Ali Zafar. Taking to the micro-blogging website, Meesha wrote she believes it's high time to break the silence and tell everyone the truth about Ali Zafar. Joining the #MeToo movement that rocked Hollywood last year, Meesha alleged Zafar abused her physically numerous times and his actions have traumatized her.

Meesha Shafi wrote as a woman, mother and public figure her conscience would not allow her to remain quiet anymore. Expressing her ordeal, she wrote Ali Zafar abused her sexually, despite her being an empowered woman. She maintained nothing like this happened at the beginning of her career. "This happened to me as a mother of two children," she wrote.
Felt betrayed with Ali's behavior, says Meesha Shafi
Meesha Shafi wrote, "It has been an extremely traumatic experience for me and my family. Ali is someone I have known for years and someone who I have shared the stage with. I feel betrayed by his behavior, his attitude and I know that I'm not alone."
