After Julie's failure, Pahlaj Nihalani wants to cast Ranbir, Ranveer
Ex-CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani, whose first film after resigning from the prestigious position 'Julie 2' bombed at the box office is now keen to direct Bollywood biggies like Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in his films. Nihalani plans to cast them in a sequel to his 1993 action-comedy 'Aankhen'. Here are the details.
Nihalani feels Arjun and Ranveer fit the roles
Pahlaj said that he has Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor on top of his wishlist. "I want them to play the leads in Aankhen Chaar. They have great chemistry. With each character playing a double role, we will see two Ranveers and two Arjuns, along with a chimpanzee," said Nihalani. He also feels that Ranbir and Imran Khan can do justice to the role.
Will any big actor work with Nihalani post Julie's failure?
Nihalani tasted failure when his film 'Julie' got maximum number of zero and one stars from the critics. In Aankhen's case, he feels that the remake will have a fresh story-line. The subject will be completely different and would reflect current times. But keeping in mind the trash he created with 'Julie 2', will any of the A-listers ever sign a film with him?
