Kangana Ranaut calls Pahlaj Nihalani's project "soft porn", gets slammed
Kangana Ranaut, who is controversy's favorite child, recently sparked fresh row after she made serious allegations against former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani. The actress claimed that during her struggling days Pahlaj asked her to do a photoshoot for his movie wearing only a satin robe. While Kangana's statement left everyone shocked, Pahlaj retaliated and warned Kangana "not to play" with him. Here's more.
Kangana got 'Gangster' because of the photoshoot: Pahlaj
Hitting back at Kangana, Pahlaj clarified that she got her big break in Bollywood with Gangster due to his photoshoot and advertisement. "I had spent one-and-a-half crore on that picture advertisement and shot for three songs. She did the reading post the photoshoot, but with my advertisement and the poster, she got Mahesh Bhatt's film Gangster and backed out of my film," he claimed.
My movie was never a porn movie: Pahlaj
Pahlaj also dismissed Kangana's allegations calling his movie soft porn, and stated that he had even approached Amitabh Bachchan for it. "It was on the lines of Cheeni Kum. I gave the narration to Amitji too, he pulled out due to him already doing something similar. It was never a porn film and neither am I interested in those kinds of movies," he emphasized.

It all started after Kangana recalled an incident from her struggling days, wherein she was working in a movie titled I Love You Boss with Pahlaj. "They had a photo shoot where they gave me a robe to wear and no undergarments. I was supposed to play a young girl lusting after her middle-aged boss. It was a soft-porn sort of character," she asserted.
Kangana "disappeared" after the photoshoot
Apparently, it wasn't easy for Kangana to do such a bold shoot and she knew she wasn't up for it. So, after the shoot, she "disappeared", the actress admitted herself. Kangana also revealed that soon after the photoshoot, she got movie offers including Gangster which marked her Bollywood debut. In fact, the Queen actress also won several awards for her debut. And, since then, she has come a long way.
Meanwhile, Kangana to play Jayalalithaa in her biopic
On the work front, Kangana has three big projects in her kitty at the moment. The diva will be seen in Rajkummar Rao-starrer Mental Hai Kya which will release in May. Besides, Kangana is working on Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's Panga with Jassie Gill. This isn't all. The actress has also been roped in for a biopic on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
