'Padmaavat' gloriously marches into the Rs. 300 crore club
'Padmaavat' has scripted history as it has become Bollywood's first non-Khan starrer to enter the coveted Rs. 300 crore club at the domestic box office. Also, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has completed 50 days in theatres which is a rarity in today's times. By the end of its seventh week, 'Padmaavat' has amassed Rs. 300.26 crore.

An incredible feat for Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor
Till now, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan were the only Bollywood actors to have their films going past the Rs. 300 crore mark. But with 'Padmaavat', Ranveer, Deepika and Shahid have also made their way into the elite club. Even superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar are yet to deliver an Rs. 300 crore grosser.
'Padmaavat' hit multiple roadblocks on its way to release
'Padmaavat' was delayed by almost two months pertaining to the protests by multiple fringe groups. The film finally hit the screens on January 25 and made up for all the trouble it went through. However, it did not get a release in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat; otherwise, it would have crossed the Rs. 300 crore mark much earlier.
