'Our mom never wrote a book': Diddy's children clarify
The children of late model Kim Porter and music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs have publicly refuted claims that their mother authored a memoir before her death in 2018. In a joint statement shared on Instagram on Wednesday, Quincy (33), Christian (26), and twins Jessie and D'Lila (17) addressed the rumors about their parents' relationship. They emphasized, "Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue."
Porter's children denounced alleged memoir as fake
The statement was issued in response to the recent online release of a book titled KIM'S LOST WORDS: A journey for justice, from the other side..., which claims to be Porter's memoir. The book contains explicit details about alleged sexual encounters between Porter and Combs, among others. It also accuses Combs of physically abusing Porter. However, her children firmly stated that anyone claiming to possess a manuscript is "misrepresenting themselves."

The siblings expressed their grief over losing their mother to lobar pneumonia in 2018, stating that their lives were "shattered" by her death. They dismissed any speculation of "foul play" in her demise and requested privacy as they continue to mourn. The children also criticized those exploiting their tragedy for personal gain, saying, "Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind and loving woman she was."
Combs's attorney labeled the memoir as 'fake' and 'offensive'
Combs's attorney also dismissed the alleged memoir as "fake," "offensive," and a "shameless attempt to profit from tragedy." When PEOPLE questioned publisher Chris Todd about the book's authenticity, he defensively responded, "Do you think Chris Todd would risk his ass and rep on something that was fake??" Meanwhile, Combs is currently detained at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution. He is due back in court in early October.
