Last week, OTT platforms were flooded with exciting debuts like Vikram and Ante Sundaraniki. And there have been several new releases and premieres on almost all OTT platforms in the past few months. Luckily, this week will also see several new South Indian titles hitting various digital streaming sites. Take a look at the OTT releases to plan your weekly dose of entertainment.
'Maamanithan'
"Makkal Selvan" Vijay Sethupathi, who is on a spree of signing new movies across industries, was recently seen on the big screens in the rural drama Maamanithan, which hit the theaters on June 24. The film was theatrically premiered after a long wait of about five years. And now, the Seenu Ramasamy directorial is arriving on the OTT platform Aha on Friday.
'Vaashi'
After Minnal Murali and Dear Friend, another film of Tovino Thomas, titled Vaashi, is arriving on Netflix on Friday. Co-starring Keerthy Suresh, Vaashi marked the directorial debut of actor Vishnu G Raghav. It hit the theaters on June 17. The film marked Suresh's first outing as a lead actor in a Mollywood film in eight years. Suresh's father G Suresh Kumar produced the project.
'Veetla Visesham'
Director duo RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan's Veetla Vishesham will have its OTT premiere on ZEE5 on Friday. An official remake of the successful Hindi flick Badhaai Ho, the movie features Balaji in the lead along with veterans Sathyaraj and Urvashi playing pivotal roles. Soorarai Pottru actor Aparna Balamurali plays an important role. Veetla Vishesham had its theatrical premiere on June 17.
'Godse'
Telugu actor Satya Dev's latest offering Godse is arriving on Netflix on Sunday. Actor Aishwarya Lekshmi made her Telugu debut with this revenge drama. Though it did not impress fans during its theatrical run, it's hoped that the film will have a good reception on the OTT platform. Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi helmed the project which was produced by C Kalyan.
