Earthquake shakes Hollywood just hours after Oscars
What's the story
In a surprising development, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake jolted the North Hollywood area on Sunday night, hours after the 95th Academy Awards ceremony concluded.
The temblor hit at around 10:13pm PT, three hours after Anora won Best Picture at the Oscars, making it a five-win night for the movie.
Despite its closeness to post-ceremony revelries, no injuries or damage were immediately reported, and attendees at post-Oscar parties didn't feel the shake, reportedly.

Earthquake's epicenter and impact area identified
The quake's epicenter was located 1.4 miles east-southeast of North Hollywood, approximately 1.7 miles north of Universal City, and 2.5 miles east-northeast of Studio City.
The earthquake hit at a depth of 15.29 km, with tremors reaching as far west as Santa Monica and east to Los Feliz.
Despite the widespread shaking, no major damage or injuries have been reported thus far.
Post-quake response
No aftershocks reported; LAFD did not deploy units
Margaret Stewart, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LAFD), stated that no units were dispatched to assess infrastructure damage following the earthquake, reported Deadline.
This is unlike LAFD's usual practice of conducting a coordinated survey by land, air, and sea across all districts surrounding the city following an earthquake.
As of 10:45pm PT on Sunday, no aftershocks had been reported by the US Geological Survey.
