'Only Murders in the Building's second season gets release date
Hulu comedy series, Only Murders in the Building, is returning on June 28 for the second season. It follows a trio—Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin—podcasting about a suspicious death (initially ruled as suicide) in their apartment building, the Arconia. Gomez stars as Mabel Mora, Short as struggling Broadway director Oliver Putnam, and Martin as Charles-Haden Savage, a TV actor past his prime.

The announcement of the second season's release date is one of the most-anticipated updates. It picks up where the first season left off and will revolve around the trio following Arconia Board President Bunny Folger's (Jayne Houdyshell) shocking death. Cara Delevingne joins the second season cast
Meanwhile, it was previously reported Cara Delevingne (Paper Towns and Suicide Squad) had joined the cast for the second season. She will play Alice, a character described as "a sophisticated art world insider who becomes enmeshed in the mystery." Delevingne earlier said it was unlike any other character she played so far, but with some daring looks. Notably, Delevingne and Gomez are bosom friends.
Release date was announced with a promo video
The makers had recently dropped a promo video on YouTube that featured the trio standing inside an elevator, announcing the release date of the second season. The video went down well with the fans of the series who couldn't stop themselves from sharing it on their social media handles. Aaron Dominguez, Tina Fey, Vanessa Aspillaga, Ryan Broussard, among others, form the supporting cast.
What happened in the first season?
The first season's finale revealed Savage's girlfriend Jan (Amy Ryan) is Tim Kono's (Julian Cihi) killer. She harmed and shot him as she believed he was seeing someone else (they earlier used to date, but he later breaks up with her). After Jan's arrest, Folger un-evicts them from the building but is soon found in a pool of blood, stabbed with Mora's knitting needle!
