Oh Yun-soo joins Han Suk-kyu in K-drama; reunion after 31yrs
Actor Oh Yun-soo is set to reunite with colleague Han Suk-kyu in the forthcoming MBC drama Such a Close Traitor, marking their first collaboration in 31 years. The announcement of her involvement was made on Tuesday. The K-drama is a psychological thriller revolving around Korea's top profiler Jang Tae-soo, played by Han, who stumbles upon a secret about his daughter linked to a murder case he's investigating.
Han will return to MBC dramas after 29 years
Han is making a comeback to MBC dramas with Such a Close Traitor after a hiatus of 29 years, his last appearance being in Hotel in 1995. This project also marks the reunion of Han and Oh, who previously worked together on the 1993 MBC drama Son and Daughter. In their new venture, they will portray a divorced couple.
Unveiling the cast and characters of 'Such a Close Traitor'
The drama's ensemble includes Han Ye-ri as police officer Lee Eoh-jin, and Chae Won-bin portraying Jang's only daughter, Jang Ha-bin. Oh will play Yoon Ji-su, the ex-wife of Jang and mother to their daughter. Her character is pivotal in the narrative, linking the intricate relationship between father and daughter while deepening the drama's mystery.
