Odisha's Lavanya Das to represent India at international beauty pageant
Lavanya Das, an Odia girl from Bhubaneshwar, who always wanted to bring laurels to her country, is on the verge of realizing her dream. She is all set to represent India in the finale of the upcoming Prince and Princess International beauty pageant. The contest is scheduled to be held in Phuket, Thailand, from July 25 to July 31.
The beauty pageant has participants from 20 different countries
Lavanya will be competing with 70 other participants from 20 different countries for the prestigious title. She had announced her arrival in the modeling industry in style when she triumphed 60 contestants from 22 countries to win the Pre-teen Junior Model International beauty pageant in Kerala last year. Thus, fans back home have their fingers crossed.
It was her childhood dream to become a model
A student of Unit 8, DAV, Bhubaneshwar, Lavanya says she always tried to present India's rich history, culture and tradition in the best possible way while participating in the beauty pageants. Her mother is confident that "she will make her state, country and everyone proud."
