Now, Parineeti backs out from performing at IPL opening ceremony
Parineeti Chopra has pulled out of performing at the forthcoming opening ceremony of the 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). The actress cited lack of time for preparations as the reason for her decision. Earlier, Ranveer Singh was ruled out of the mega event owing to his shoulder injury.
Parineeti has been occupied with the shoot of her next
A statement issued by Parineeti's spokesperson said, "She was shooting non-stop for 'Namastey England' and had back-to-back pre-committed endorsement commitments. So, unfortunately, she did not have enough time to rehearse." "Being a thorough professional, Parineeti spoke to Wizcraft and explained to them that she was not okay putting up a compromised performance. Wizcraft has been gracious enough to understand this," the statement added.
The mega opening is scheduled for tomorrow
After Ranveer and Parineeti's exit, the makers have roped in Hrithik Roshan and Tamannaah Bhatia. Also adding glamor at the opening ceremony will be Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez. Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians will take on Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings in the first match of IPL 2018. Mumbai Indians are the defending champions.
