After Gujarat & Rajasthan, Haryana joins Padmaavat "ban" wagon
Only 9 days are left for the release of the most-awaited film of the year 'Padmaavat'. But, it is a long road ahead for the makers. After Gujarat and Rajasthan, now Haryana has also banned the screening of the movie. It is further speculated that it won't be screened in UP and MP either. Here are the sad details.

Health Minister Anil Vij took to Twitter to announce the ban. In an interview, he had revealed that he would never allow the screening of the film in Haryana. He had accused director Bhansali of wrongly presenting the historical facts in the movie to "defame" the image of Rani Padmavati. He also added he would not tolerate the character assassination of Rani Padmavati
Ironically, Padmaavat became the first film to have 3D release
The ban comes at a time when this epic drama starring Shahid, Ranveer and Deepika is set to become India's first movie to have a Global IMAX 3D release. Initially, the film was scheduled to release on December 1, but after much ado, it got a release date of January 25. It remains to be seen if any other state would now follow suit.
