After Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor is accused of nepotism
Thanks to Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar has often faced the heat for being nepotistic. Now it seems that the focus has shifted from him to his producer friend, Ekta Kapoor. Ekta launched a new show on her web portal ALTBalaji named 'Haq Se' which stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Aanchal Sharma, who happens to be her niece. Would you call that nepotism? Here's more.
Here's how the things transpired
During the trailer launch of the show, Aanchal Sharma, who is Ekta's niece and is making her debut with the show, was asked how she got an opportunity to work with Ekta. She vehemently said that Ekta doesn't give chance to everybody and that she had undergone a rigorous selection process to bag the role. It is hard to believe it, though.
Ekta also justified her stance
Refuting all the claims against her, Ekta said that Aanchal had been rejected by Balaji many times. But this time she just fit the role. 'Haq Se' is directed by Ken Ghosh and stars actor Rajeev Khandelwal, Rukhsar, Simone Singh and Parvail Gulati, among others. It will be streaming soon on Balaji's web portal Alt Balaji.
