Bengaluru: Noted film producer Bhakthavatsala dies at 84
Noted film personality and former Chairman of the Indian Film Chamber of Commerce M Bhakthavatsala died due to age-related ailments, family sources said today. He was 84. Bhakthavatsala was an officer in Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) and later turned to films through distribution and managing theaters. Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy condoles Bhakthavatsala's death
Bhakthavatsala served as President of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce for seven years and was the only Kannadiga to Chair Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. Condoling the death of noted producer, Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy said the Kannada film industry had lost a great leader.
