Kapil Sharma's new show has officially been scrapped
In a major setback for Kapil Sharma, Sony TV has scrapped his much-hyped comeback show 'Family Time With Kapil Sharma'. The decision by the channel comes after the comedian's abusive phone call to the editor of an entertainment portal was made public. Also, his unprofessional attitude towards the show didn't go down well with the makers. Only three episodes of the show were aired.
Kapil was at loggerheads with a journalist recently
A few days back, Kapil went on an abusive rant against the editor of an entertainment portal on Twitter, but later claimed that his account was hacked. However, he confessed posting the foul tweets himself the next day. The journalist then stated that Kapil had also hurled abuses at him over the phone and released a recording of the call.
The show couldn't garner the expected response
Kapil was hoping that things would go back to normal after he returned to the small screen with 'Family Time With Kapil Sharma'. However, the show opened to mostly negative response and soon reports of Kapil canceling the shoots started doing the rounds. The TV star did not even show up to film an episode with 'Hichki' star Rani Mukerji.
