Nihar Pandya says he is 'just not' Deepika Padukone's ex-boyfriend
Nihar Pandya has all the reasons to grin ear to ear these days. The model-turned-actor, who is set to make his Bollywood debut with Manikarnika: Queen Of Jhansi, will soon be tying the knot with singer Neeti Mohan. Ever since the news of his wedding broke, Nihar's past with Deepika Padukone came under public scanner. But Nihar feels he isn't just Deepika's ex-boyfriend.
Nihar-Deepika were in live-in relationship for three years
To recall, Deepika dated Nihar before entering Bollywood. The two were said to be head-over-heels in love with each other and, reportedly, lived together for three years. However, things changed after Deepika made her debut with Om Shanti Om in 2007. Deepika became an overnight star post the success of OSO and rest, as they say, is history.
Nihar is happy about Ranveer-Deepika's wedding
Life doesn't stop for anyone. Nihar and Deepika also moved on with their respective lives. Deepika found her perfect match in Ranveer Singh and they got married on November 14. Talking about the same, Nihar stated, "There is no bitterness in my heart. I wish her all the best in her married life. And I am sure she wishes the same for me".
But, Nihar doesn't like being referred to as Deepika's ex
Nihar, further, added that since he has moved on, he doesn't like being referred to as Deepika's ex-boyfriend. He hopes that his wedding news isn't reported as 'Deepika's ex-beau gets hitched'. The newcomer stated, "I only wish the headlines announcing my wedding wouldn't refer to me as 'Deepika Padukone's Ex'. I'd like to think I have an identity of my own".
Nihar and Neeti to tie the knot on February 15
Nihar will be marrying his ladylove Neeti Mohan on February 15. It will be a private affair and will be attended by the couple's close friends and family. Their pre-wedding functions will begin on February 14. Currently, Nihar is looking forward to the release of his debut movie Manikarnika on January 25. The movie features Kangana Ranaut as Rani Laxmibai.
