Nick Jonas offers to take up the mantle of Batman
With Affleck stepping down, the 26-year-old singer who recently married Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra, has pitched in for possibly his biggest acting gig yet. The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor was replying to an Instagram post by Hypebeast about who the next Batman should be. The Jealous singer pitched in about the next Dark Knight role saying, "First name Nick. Last name Jonas".
Jonas wanted to be part of the Bat family before
This is not the first time Jonas has expressed an interest in being part of the Bat family. In 2017, when there were talks about a Nightwing standalone movie, he had expressed an interest in playing Batman's protege, Dick Grayson. However, the film that was supposed to be directed by Chris McKay never materialized, so this might be Jonas' chance to realize his dreams.
Would Jonas make a good Batman in the new movie?
Fans have expressed dissatisfaction at the possibility of Jonas playing Batman. However, as a younger version, he could fit the image. Notably, fans are often fixated on their idea of Batman from comics and aren't open to new actors being cast. Thus they had opposed Affleck's casting as well but were pleasantly surprised by the portrayal. We believe Jonas too could surprise Batman fans.
