Priyanka-produced 'Paani' bags National Award, Nick is "proud" of her
The winners of 66th National Film Awards were announced yesterday, in which Priyanka Chopra's home production Paani also secured a place among the big wins. The Marathi film had won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film on Environment Conservation. Expressing his happiness, her husband Nick Jonas said, "Congrats to everyone involved," while also stating how "proud" he is of his wife.

Yesterday, Priyanka had also congratulated her team of Purple Pebble Pictures, including her mother Madhu and brother Siddharth Chopra for this big achievement. Sharing a heart-warming note, the Quantico actress wrote that she is "proud to have produced a special film like Paani." "Paani' was our humble attempt at using entertainment to bring focus to the seriousness of the water crisis," she added.

Another of Priyanka's production 'Ventilator' had also won National Awards
Notably, this is the second National Award for Priyanka's production house. Earlier, her maiden Marathi venture Ventilator had won three National Awards in 2016 in the Best Director, Best Editing and Best Sound Mixing categories. To recall, the Dil Dhadakne Do actress had also won a National Award in 2008 in the Best Actress category for her stupendous performance in Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion.
Priyanka to return to Bollywood with 'The Sky Is Pink'
Meanwhile, Priyanka is looking forward to her much-awaited Bollywood comeback with The Sky Is Pink. She was last seen in Prakash Jha's 2016 release Jai Gangaajal. The Sky Is Pink is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Directed by Shonali Bose, the movie also stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in lead.
