'Captain Marvel' movie releases new image of the superhero
Captain Marvel is about to arrive in theaters on March 8, and we have seen how well Brie Larson plays Carol Danvers, the titular Captain Marvel, in the trailers. While the trailer pulled no punches to portray Danvers as a hard-hitting superhero caught in an interracial alien war, an even cooler image of Captain Marvel has surfaced online. Check out the new image here.
Powering up, ready to take on the bad guys
The new image of Captain Marvel was released by Luma Pictures, which is the Visual Effects Studio that is currently working on the film. We see Marvel Cinematic Universe's strongest character powering up in the image, probably ready to take on her opponents. Notably, the new image is a darker version of one that had previously appeared on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.
Detailing on gauntlets, her hands, while charging-up, comes out well
The new image, being darker, offers viewers a better look at how Captain Marvel's hands are going to look when she powers up to emit those dangerous energy blasts that can spell the doom for villains. The detailing on the gauntlets and in her hands, while charging up, comes out well. It also makes the red and blue in her suit stand out.
The Binary mode of Captain Marvel
For those unaware, the Binary Mode of Captain Marvel makes her increasingly more powerful.
Notably, this mode is accompanied by her being able to generate her own power.
We saw glimpses of the Binary Mode in the trailer, but the image of her powering up her hands suggests that the Binary Mode will play a major part in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie.
Could we see the Brood in Captain Marvel?
Notably, Captain Marvel gained her Binary Powers after she was experimented on by the Brood, an alien race. This might mean, apart from Krees and Skrulls, we might see a third alien race in the upcoming movie. However, we feel the MCU will introduce her Binary Powers in some other way, but we cannot wait to see the destruction it unleashes.
