'The 8 Show' plot and gameplay revealed
The 8 Show tells the gripping tale of eight individuals battling financial struggles, who are invited to compete in a high-stakes mysterious reality show. Reminiscent of the popular K-drama Squid Game, contestants are isolated from the outside world and subjected to extreme conditions. They must understand the game's unique rules and strive to accumulate as much money as possible before the game ends, which only happens when someone dies.
Trailer teases tension and intrigue
The trailer begins with Ryu Jun-yeol receiving a cryptic message: "I'd like to buy the time you gave up." As contestants gather at the venue, one player notes, "We all came here because of money, and we will leave with an amount that cannot be easily earned outside." The idea of forming alliances to survive is suggested by another contestant. However, tension arises when they discover that each person will receive a different amount based on the game's structure.
