Full cast announced for Netflix's Jude Law-Jason Bateman-led 'Black Rabbit'
Netflix has wrapped up the casting process for its upcoming drama, Black Rabbit, starring Jason Bateman and Jude Law. The limited series, conceived by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, will feature Oscar winner Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, Odessa Young, and Robin De Jesús in key roles. Seven additional actors including Amir Malaklou, Don Harvey, and Forrest Weber, have been roped in for recurring roles.
Why does this story matter?
Black Rabbit, a project approved by Netflix in March, is the newest creation resulting from a comprehensive film and television contract signed between Bateman and Michael Costigan's Aggregate Films and the streaming platform back in 2018. Under this deal, Aggregate Films has produced feature films like 2023's Reese Witherspoon-led Your Place or Mine and the upcoming Hit Man, as well as series like Florida Man for Netflix.
'Black Rabbit' plot and character details unveiled
In Black Rabbit, Bateman and Law portray siblings, with Law's character Jake being a New York hotspot owner. Jake's decision to reintegrate his troubled brother, played by Bateman, into his life leads to a series of escalating threats to everything he has built. Some of these threats are linked to the criminal underworld as suggested by the roles of the newly announced cast members.
