Yami-Sunny's 'Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga' sequel in works: Report
What's the story
Netflix India has greenlit a sequel to the 2023 heist thriller Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, reported Peeping Moon.
The lead actors of the original film, Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal, will reprise their roles in this follow-up.
Gautam will return as Neha Grover, a flight attendant caught in deceit, while Kaushal will once again play Ankit Sethi, a diamond insurance company owner.
An official announcement is still awaited.
Production team
Original director and producers to return for sequel
Per the report, the sequel will be spearheaded by Ajay Singh, who also directed the original film. Producers Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik are returning to helm the project.
Supporting actors Sharad Kelkar and Indraneil Sengupta are expected to reprise their roles as R&AW officers Parvez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Roy, respectively.
The sequel promises a gripping narrative with a compelling script designed.
Future plans
Gautam and Kaushal's upcoming projects before sequel
Gautam will begin shooting for the sequel after wrapping up her part in Junglee Pictures's film inspired by the 1985 Shah Bano Case. This will be her second project after the birth of her child in 2024.
Meanwhile, Kaushal will be seen opposite Wamiqa Gabbi in Maddock Films's Shiddat 2 and has a coming-of-age drama Letters to Mr. Khanna awaiting release.
The shooting schedule for Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga 2 is yet to be locked.
