'That '90s Show' S2 two-part premiere dates announced with trailer
Netflix has finally released the first trailer-teaser for the much-anticipated second season of That '90s Show. The new season will be divided into two parts, with the first eight episodes premiering on June 27. The remaining eight episodes are slated to be released on October 24. This sequel to That '70s Show continues to follow Eric and Donna's daughter's summer adventures in Point Place.
Why does this story matter?
That '90s Show is an American teen sitcom set during the summer of 1995. Premiering on Netflix on January 19, 2023, it introduced familiar characters and locales from its predecessor, That '70s Show. To note, the original series aired for eight seasons, totaling 200 episodes. The show's popularity extended beyond borders, inspiring a remake for the ITV network in the UK in 1999, titled Days Like These, which closely mirrored the original with minor adjustments to cultural references.
'Hello old friends, hello new friends, hello Wisconsin...'
Netflix greenlit That '90s Show for a second season, expanding the episode count to 16 from the initial 10 in Season 1, underscoring the streaming platform's confidence in the show's popularity. Unveiling the trailer on its official YouTube and social media channels on Sunday, the caption read: "Hello old friends, hello new friends, hello Wisconsin—1995 was only the beginning." "That '90s Show Part 2 premieres June 27 and Part 3 premieres on October 24."
