'Good Sex' plot and production details revealed
Good Sex, written and directed by Golden Globe winner Lena Dunham, stars Portman as Ally—a successful couples' therapist who finds herself navigating romance and self-discovery after a failed long-term relationship.
The film is produced by Portman and Sophie Mas under their MountainA banner, along with Dunham and Michael Cohen through their Good Thing Going banner.
The two male leads are currently being cast.
Production details
'Good Sex' filming location and release format
The production of Good Sex will take place in New Jersey, with tax breaks making it an even more valuable deal than the initial budget.
Despite being one of the biggest EFM acquisitions, just falling short of Sony's $60 million purchase of A Man Called Otto in 2022, this deal is more profitable due to tax incentives, per Deadline.
It is still unclear if Good Sex will have a theatrical release or be directly streamed on Netflix.
