'He tried to call me two days before this happened...'
In a candid conversation with Galatta Plus, Riddhima shared a touching memory of her father reaching out to her just two days before his death. She recalled, "He tried to call me two days before this happened. He gave me a missed call, I still have it on my phone. That was his last call to me and I thought...I wish I had taken that." "After that, he couldn't really respond or talk...I took a screenshot and I saved it."
A trailblazer's lasting impact
Kapoor's brilliance on screen continues to illuminate the cinematic landscape. In the latter phase of his career, he graced films such as Kapoor & Sons (2016), securing a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor, alongside appearances in The Body (2019) and 102 Not Out (2018). His final film, Sharmaji Namkeen (2022), remained incomplete, with Paresh Rawal stepping in to fulfill half of Kapoor's role, as seen in the film's second half.
