Neelam recalls huge fight with Ektaa over husband's intimate scenes
Renowned actor Neelam Kothari recently opened up about a past disagreement with producer Ektaa Kapoor. The conflict stemmed from intimate scenes that Kothari's husband, Samir Soni, was asked to perform in one of Kapoor's shows. Speaking to Zoom, Kothari admitted to being "very possessive" about Soni and confessed that she didn't speak to Kapoor for several months after their argument.
'I didn't speak to Ektaa for almost 3-4 months...'
Kothari shared, "I got to know that he (Samir) had some intimate scenes, which is fine. I didn't know to what extent those scenes were and Ektaa happened to be the producer of that show." "So I didn't speak to Ektaa for almost 3-4 months because we had this rip-roaring fight." When Kothari confronted Kapoor about the intimate scenes, Kapoor defended Soni's professional choices by stating that he was fully aware of his role in the script.
Kothari's acceptance of Soni's professional choices
However, Kothari has since accepted that Soni may have to do certain scenes if the script demands it. She said, "It's over now. I have also learned my lesson that it is his profession." "Now, I am okay with it. After many fights, and that too fighting with my best friend and my husband at the same time. I have learned my lesson, zip it."
Kothari and Soni's personal life and recent projects
Kothari married Soni in 2011 after a brief relationship and adopted a daughter, Ahana, in 2013. This was Kothari's second marriage after an unsuccessful one with businessman Rishi Sethia. On the professional front, Kothari was last seen in Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives Season 3 with her close friends Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, and Bhavana Pandey. In 2023, she shared screen space with Soni in Made In Heaven 2.
