In a tragic incident, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's sister Syama Tamshi Siddiqui passed away on Saturday, after losing a long battle with cancer. She was 26 years old.
Reportedly, Syama had been suffering from breast cancer since age 18.
She breathed her last at a hospital in Pune, the Siddiqui family confirmed.

Syama's funeral to take place in ancestral village Budhana
Syama's last rites will be held on Sunday at the family's ancestral village Budhana (Muzaffarnagar district) in Uttar Pradesh.
Reportedly, Nawazuddin was in the US for work, and is expected to return to India for the funeral.
Last year in October, he had revealed her sister's cancer diagnosis and opened up about her condition.

Sharing a picture with Syama on her 25th birthday, Nawazuddin had penned a touching post, writing, "My sister was diagnosed of advanced stage breast cancer but it was her will power and courage that made her stand against all the odds. She is still fighting."
