Nagarjuna all set to join Ranbir-Alia starrer 'Brahmastra'
The fans of Telugu superstar, Nagarjuna can rejoice. The actor has confirmed that he is a part of Karan Johar's 'Brahmastra'. "Yes, I am doing Brahmastra," he said. "It is my first Hindi film in a very long time. I can't remember the last time I did a Hindi film." It is after a gap of 15 years that he would be doing a Bollywood movie.
Nagarjuna calls 'Brahmastra' impressive, said yes immediately
"I've not shown any inclination to do a Hindi film, though I'm open to doing films in any language if the set-up is good. 'Brahmastra' was impressive from the moment it came to me. I said 'yes' immediately," the actor reportedly said.
Nagarjuna: Excited to work on his Bollywood comeback movie
Notably, the actor has been a part of famous Bollywood movies like 'Zakhm', 'Khuda Gawah', 'Angarey' and 'Criminal', to name a few. "Except Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) with whom I've worked in 'Khuda Gawah', they are all new to me. I'm working for the first time with Karan Johar, Ayan Mukherjee, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor," Nagarjuna quipped.
He has a history with the Bhatt family
"Zakhm was my last full-fledged role in a Hindi film. I still remember Alia Bhatt as a child on Bhatt saab's set. Now I am working with her in Brahmastra. How time flies," said Nagarjuna.
'Brahmastra' is Karan Johar's biggest film till date
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and bankrolled by Karan Johar, 'Brahmastra' will be a trilogy. The first installment of the big-budgeted action-adventure will hit the screens next year. It will have Ranbir Kapoor playing a superhero for the very first time, though Ayan maintains it is a modern-day fantasy movie. The film also stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Telly star Mouni Roy.
