'Nadaaniyan' trailer: Ibrahim-Khushi's romance is full of secrets
What's the story
The much-awaited trailer of Nadaaniyan, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan (in his debut) and Khushi Kapoor, was released on Saturday.
The film, a quintessential Bollywood romance story, follows two young people who meet, fall in love, part ways and finally come together.
Khan plays an ambitious law student named Arjun Mehta while Kapoor plays Pia Jai Singh.
Plot twist
'Nadaaniyan' explores unconventional love story
In a unique plot twist, Singh and Mehta's relationship isn't based on mutual affection.
Instead, Singh pays Mehta ₹25,000 weekly to pretend to be her boyfriend!
However, this unusual arrangement eventually comes to light, leading to turmoil within their college and among their parents—portrayed by Dia Mirza, Jugal Hansraj, Suniel Shetty, and Mahima Chaudhary.
The film is heavily reminiscent of Student of the Year, which launched the careers of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra.
