Selvaraghavan's 'Naane Varuven': Glitzy new poster features Dhanush's swagger
Dhanush, who has been gaining massive recognition for his spellbinding work in the recent past, has several interesting films in the pipeline and among them is his brother Selvaraghavan's directorial Naane Varuven. Dhanush's frequent collaborator Kalaipuli S Thanu is bankrolling the project under V Creations. And now, the film's makers have released a new poster featuring Dhanush, in which he can be seen smoking.
Why does this story matter?
Naane Varuven reunites Dhanush with his brother and acclaimed director Selvaraghavan after almost a decade. Starting with Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002), the duo has collaborated on several super-hit films including, Kaadhal Kondein (2003), Pudhupettai (2006), and Mayakkam Enna (2011), among others. The duo's successful track record makes this upcoming drama quite special and every update about it is being received with joy by the fans.
What is in store for us?
The new poster is quite glitzy with Dhanush sporting a stylish costume and smoking a cigarette while relaxing on a rocking chair. He is seen wearing an ash-colored tee and a checkered shirt and what looks like baggy pants. His hairstyle, however, looks similar to his hairdo in Anegan (2015). It looks like he is playing a suave and swaggy character in Naane Varuven.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is on board to compose music
While the shooting process had started in October 2021, Selvaraghavan took to Twitter in January to inform fans that the work on the film's music album was completed. He had posted a photo online, featuring himself and renowned music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and revealed they have "completed the album." "Can't wait to share it with you all!" he had added in the post.
Will Dhanush play dual roles in 'Naane Varuven'?
It was earlier reported that Dhanush will be seen in a double role again in Naane Varuven, after Kodi (2016) and Pattas (2020). However, there has been no official confirmation yet. Touted to be a psychological drama, Naane Varuven has Indhuja Ravichandran as the female lead. Separately, Dhanush has a Tamil-Telugu bilingual titled Vaathi/Sir and the Hollywood film The Gray Man in the making.
