The trailer for the anthology film My Melbourne has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into diverse immigrant experiences in Australia's cultural capital. The film is a joint venture between VicScreen and Screen Australia. It features four renowned directors—Imtiaz Ali, Kabir Khan, Onir, and Rima Das—collaborating with emerging filmmakers to delve into themes of identity and belonging. The movie is slated to inaugurate the 15th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), which will run from August 15 to 25.

My Melbourne is composed of four segments, each highlighting a unique aspect of diversity. The segment Nandini, directed by Onir and co-directed by William Duan, narrates the story of a queer Indian man reconnecting with his father. Arif Ali directs Jules, with Ali as creative director and Tammy Yang as co-director, which explores an unexpected friendship between a newlywed and a homeless individual.

The remaining segments of My Melbourne include Emma and Setara. Das and co-director Samira Coxx present Emma, a segment that follows a deaf dancer's journey to self-acceptance. Meanwhile, the segment Setara, directed by Khan and Rahul Vohra and co-directed by Puneet Gulati, depicts a young Afghan refugee finding her place through cricket. Each director brings a unique perspective to the anthology.
