AR Murugadoss promises 'Ghajini-like' surprise element in 'Sikandar'
What's the story
Director AR Murugadoss is all set for the release of his highly anticipated movie Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. The movie has already stirred audience interest with its teaser and songs.
In a recent interview with ETimes, Murugadoss revealed that Sikandar will have a "surprise element" similar to his 2008 film Ghajini, featuring Aamir Khan and Asin.
He confirmed the movie will delve into intense emotions, especially a husband-wife relationship.
Plot details
'Sikandar' to delve into contemporary family dynamics
Elaborating on the plot of Sikandar, Murugadoss said, "Ghajini was about a boyfriend-girlfriend love story, but this is about a husband-wife relationship."
"It explores how families function today, how couples treat each other, and what we might be missing in our relationships. That'll be the highlight of the film."
"Though Ghajini seemed to be a psycho-thriller, the love story of Aamir and Asin was the surprise element." "Similarly," Murugadoss added, "Sikandar has that surprise element which is intense."
Career milestone
'Sikandar' to be a significant film in Khan's career
The director further said he believes Sikandar will be an important film in Khan's career.
He said the movie is more than an Eid entertainer, mixing action and emotions to cater to all.
"We've made a film that everyone, from hardcore Salman fans to family audiences, will enjoy," he said.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film stars Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi besides Khan and Mandanna.
